Because of his ugliness, Ramiro Cinco is a self-conscious man. His father inherits him most of his money on the condition that he undergo plastic surgery. Ramiro travels to Mexico City and spends the money on clothes and lotions, but no woman takes notice of him. After the death of his father he decides to go into the operation room. After the procedure he meets Delia a waitress, with whom he sexually entangles. Fate and his ingenuity will have him mistaken for a bank robber. Forced to return to his hometown he will eventually resolve his conflict, opting instead for a simple life.
